Survival skills are skills that may help one to survive dangerous situations
(such as storms or earthquakes), or in dangerous places (such as the desert,
the mountains, and the jungle). Useful skills include lighting a fire, finding shelter,
making water safe to drink, finding and identifying food, and first aid skills in
treating injuries. Also climbing, swimming, and using specific or makeshift tools
can be necessary.

Each type of environment challenges a person with a different range of dangers
(outdoor activities). An environment may be dry, wet, cold, or hot. There are four
main necessities of life: shelter, water, fire, and food.

Regardless of physical capabilities and or level of knowledge survival gear is very
helpful and in many cases necessary to sustain life.

It is recommended to have disaster kits in the
car, at the house and at your work place.

It is great to have an emergency survival kit ready in a back pack.
In the worst case scenario you strap it on your back

having your hands free taking away the burden of having
to carry survival gear. In an emergency situation you will be
able to move quicker to a different location if or whenever
necessary.

Emergency Supplies in a back pack with your hands free
allows more agility. In a situation where you would need to reach or climb
you will be not be held back.

Be Prepared Ahead of Time!

When a disaster hits there will be no time to think and certainly no time to prepare. Get
an emergency kit with the survival gear you need (first aid supplies included) designed
by experts in the emergency preparedness industry. Do not rely on government. It is
proven that you must do everything that you possibly can on your own to prepare for
any disaster.
